Be in time to the airport
If you are travelling from Sweden you have to check in the latest 60 minutes before departure. As there sometimes are long queues, you have to be in time. If you are travelling from other countries, contact the airline to know when you have to check in. It is your responsibility to check in in time and get on the flight.
Vaccination
Contact a vaccination centre before departure and follow their recommendations about vaccination.
Currency
It is often useful to have some currency at arrival. Change money if possible before departure. Account-/credit cards are accepted almost all over the world. It is also possible to get money from an ATM, but many bancs wants an extra fee per withdrawal.
Generally it is more expensive to change money in the hotel than in a bank.
Travel Insurance
Check your travel insurance before you travel, so that you know what it covers. It can be a good idea to buy an additional travel insurance if you want to be sure that you will get help in place.
Copies of Travelling Documents
Make a copy of your passport, visa, credit card, driving license, insurance evidence and your tickets. Give a copy to a friend who will be at home while you are travelling. If there is a need your friend can fax them to you. It is also good if you to bring copies, but have them placed somewhere else than the original documents. If you have credit cards bring a phone number in order to block the card if you lose it.
Objects of Value and Medicines
Always pack your objects of value and medicines in your hand luggage. If the suit case will be delayed you have what you need. Of the same reason, it is a good idea to bring a toiletbag and underware in the hand luggage.
